Next time I call 911 when my house is on fire, I'm specifically requesting you.

Why would a fire person not get vaccinated? You never know who you're going to run into. You might end up pulling a coughing person out of a wreck and there's no way to stay six feet away in a fireman's carry..

We need to be vaccinating 24/7

This variant mutation is frightening in terms of spread. It’s not, to my reading, mutated enough to mess with vaccination but the more spread there is out there and the more infections the higher the likelihood of a significant mutation happening

my next door neighbor's had fire medical emergency out yesterday - and I was surprised they were only wearing masks. Figured they'd have the face shields on too.

Has anyone read anything good on why vaccination #s are falling so far short of the goals? Particularly why we might be hopeful that the current pace of 10 years to vaccinate everyone will speed up soon?

Local and state level people have been put in charge of the roll out. They do not have the resources to make this happen as quickly as most would like to see it happening.

So where's the hope the pace picks up? We all agree 10 years is unacceptable right?

Our city is doing something I quite like. We're setting up a mass vaccination center in our very little used Civic Arena that sits downtown. The city is hopeful they can get everyone on the 1a list in town not already getting the vaccine from our local hospital vaccinated in a couple days time.

I'm not sure how much I like the UK deciding they're gonna space out the doses of vaccines in hopes of getting more people vaccinated. This seems like a bad idea.

I think their mixing of vaccines is pretty crazy as well.

Scotland is going full lockdown for a month and reading this morning that a pandemic expert group Independent Sage is saying this new strain is 40-80% more transmissible.

UK going to a stronger lockdown too. We need to get vaccines out quick

With this new strain being that much more and quicker spread, you’re only option is vaccination. Test and trace and whatever isn’t gonna help
