I'm just glad GPU prices are dropping because cypto crash.
I'm eyeing the shit out Radeon RX 6950 XT, its only 1,000. And it will destroy games and work great with Unreal5
Unreal 5 is going to change the dynamic because of how it does its processing and preloading.
I'm a bargain builder. Building top end PC's just aint a game ive ever been in.
You say 5 years out of a $1K video card? Shiiiiit....my ass would try to get a decade out of that thing, lol.
Hell, im still running a 2nd Gen I5 with a video card that, i dont even remember the model....but it was mid tier like 7-8 years ago hahaha. Cheap bastard i know. [Reply]

Ya'll will drop $1K-$1,500 on a video card and then replace that shit a year or two later.
NO lolz I've had my 1080Ti for a long time :-) it's still working and i can still sell it for a couple hundred.
I won't even mention the 2 3090's i bought that have already paid for themselves mining. :-) [Reply]
oh it's LHR for mining BUT it's totally unlocked now and mines the same as a 3090. Enjoy kiddos!
EVGA also runs the coolest of all cards.
Under $900 for a 3080Ti. Wow. Hard to believe.
I'm probably going with a brand new build featuring the 4080 in the first part of 2023, but these prices are freaking insane right now and very tempting. [Reply]

Might even get better, especially if you don't mind getting a used one. 3080TI is pretty much a 3090 minus the extra vram. [Reply]

They keep dropping now that the miners seem to have had their fill and more chips are also coming out of China.
With RTX 4000 series and AMD RDNA 3 series upcoming, I'd have to imagine they'll continue to drop for a little bit here and settle in. [Reply]
FYI... Microcenter KC is currently having some pretty crazy sales. But it requires a mailer coupon. If you have access to it though, you can get some crazy cheap deals. A 1TB M.2 or SSD drive for $20. 2TB HDD for $20. An 11.6" Windows laptop for $40. I've been told you can go to the store and request a coupon flyer, but I can't really confirm that. Sale goes until 10/2.
