Reid says Brett Veach "wore him out" watching tape on Speaks. Watched all of his snaps from last season, says he never saw him on the ground. Compares him to Tamba Hali with size and metrics.
Veach confirmed what Mecca said earlier - it's not a deep draft for pass rushers and they felt there was a really large drop-off after Speaks so they felt they needed to go up and get him. It sounded like corner and safety were on his mind but he thought there was depth there but not at pass rusher. [Reply]

yeah Mecca is fairly football smart. I like the guy, these days. He annoyed me back 8 or 9 yrs ago - It's okay - i'm sure I did/do him, as well. Shifting gears - I still think they'll maneuver Ware for secondary help trade in free agency. I hate it - but I believe it'll happen. [Reply]
