I thought this would be great for all the out of towners coming in for Chief's games this year. You get to sample several different Bar B Que joints, plus see a lot of the KC area including some important landmarks.

I hate Arthur Bryants, and I hate that so many people outside of KC think it's "The" BBQ place to go to in KC.

I am not a huge fan of Gates either.

KC Joe's and Q39 are the big ones, but Slap's is pretty great, and I know it's not fancy at all, but I grew up on Zarda's and think it's underrated.

Should be called “hobo BBQ tour of KC.

You guys give me $300 each I’ll drive you in my Audi to Joe’s, Q39 and Char bar. With High West Whiskey and Boulevard Ale included. Or White Claw if you’re under 24.

I just had a friend ask me yesterday about what to hit up in KC, and Bryant's is the only one of those I mentioned and that was just because of the history.

As others have mentioned it is not a real BBQ tour without KC Joes, Q39 and Slaps.

LC's is the only place worth a shit on that list and has, in my opinion, the best burnt ends in the city. How you can do a "KC BBQ Tour" without getting a Z-man at Joe's or the jalapeno sausage at Slap's is fucking beyond me.

For people complaining that Oklahoma Joes is not on the list- it is the KANSAS CITY BBQ tour. Not the Leawood tour.

It is a sample tour of BBQ, not, a let's pick your favorite place and they will drive you there. You get to see a lot of KC sites along the way as well as stop at some of the best places.

As far as Q 39- I don't think that is a "BAR B Q Joint" it is a trendy, upscale restaurant that has bar b q- similar to Smokehouse. Although their food is great- I think it is very over-priced for what you get. You can a much better value at Gates, like twice the food. You should not have to fill up on bread and small side portions when you are spending $50.00 bucks for two meals. Yes, I thought their brisket was amazing- but at upwards of $40.00 a pound-nope. I can get three times the portions at the Little Bar B Que joint in Independence or Bates City Bar B Q Joint.

KC Joes is in KCKS. That's the original location, the Leawood one doesn't count.
