Nzoner's Game Room>Anyone here doing the E-Cig / Vape thing?
pr_capone 03:05 AM 11-17-2013
Thanks to my vape, I've had only one single cigarette in the past 3 weeks. I have zero cravings for them and I feel considerably better. In fact, I still have about 5 smokes left in a pack and just can't see myself smoking those... don't want to.

Even better... 5ml of juice, which costs $5, lasts me about 2 weeks meaning that I am spending less in the long run. I only smoked, at most, a pack a week... but still.

I tried the Blu E-Cigs but they were terrible. Trying to "smoke" out of one of those was like trying to take a hit off a joint that was rolled WAY to tight.

I'm using an eGo-V v2 mega battery with variable voltage control with a gravity tank.

I saw an ad for a car jump starter on FB just now and I clicked on it because it said 12k mAh, just for a lark, imagining it as a never-run-out-of-power back up for vaping. And then did a search for others like it. Came across this:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/12V-20000...tery/192213657

20,000 mAh with several output options for $40 at Walmart. Has a 2 Amp USB port (too high for charging 18650's I think) but also a standard plug outlet. The cool thing is that it's about the size of a large dual battery box mod. I wonder if there are any battery chargers with built in power banks?

Does it have a 510? :-)

To add, I maintain a .5 amp charge to my 18650s. Helps with the life. I don't even think my luc v4 goes to 2A, so I think you're right.

Heh. I was thinking more to charge a mod rather than vaping on it, but it does say that it has 5/12/19 Volts available and a 400 Amp peak. So you could fire a 0.05 coil up to 7600 Watts with it. Hold my beer...

Maybe this has been addressed but any of you guys DIY your own juice? Just started doing it myself...hit or miss but it's kind of fun and frustrating at the same time.

I am tempted to buy this thing at $20. I did see one bad review that didn't go into any specifics, so I don't know. Still...$20. You end up with a really nice MTL tank, an RDA, an RDTA, and a squonk tank, all in one:

NOTE: YOU HAVE TO ALREADY HAVE THE NAUTILUS X TO USE THE $20 KIT!

Here's a link to buy it: https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/aspi...ower-pack.html

Here's a pic of the thing:

Here's a video of the more expensive kit that you would have to buy if you don't already have the Nautilus X, NSFW (language):

I don't but I have toyed with the idea. I found www.nicvape.com and they seem to supply everything that you need at decent prices.

Here's a place where you can get the kit in the video for $40 that comes with everything including the Nautilus X parts: http://www.vapordna.com/Aspire-Quad-...t-p/aspqfs.htm

Here's a more serious review of the quad pack. I think people originally got turned off of the Nautilus X for two reasons:

1) it first came out with only a 1.5 Ohm atomizer that wasn't great
2) it is designed for smokers and ex smokers as a MTL to get you off of cigs

The newer 1.8 Ohm atomizers are great even at minimum (12W). A lot of people are chasing Watts instead of using vaping to quit/refrain from smoking.

I have been eyeballing mods since my main one is old. It is now an 'old school' Sigelei in that it's not a plastic-y looking, adjusted multicolored lights blinking, faux retro styling form-over-factor buffalump. I use a Sigelei Fuchai 200 Watt+ TC. The last of the great Sig mods, in Sig style. I should have some TC coils any day now to play with on my Arctic V8 and I'll be trying those out for the first time. I am interested in Temp Control now that it has been around a while. Of course the next step would be getting something like that quad survival pack for my go to: That Nautilus X. Meanwhile, if I find a nice solid utilitarian mod with a really good chipset then I'll probably grab one. I like what the Vaporesso Revenger can do. It is running on the newer Omniboard 2 and there are definitely bells and whistles to be rang and blown. Still not comfy with the overall build quality of the mod though. Also eyeballing 'The Captain' as it comes with two 20700's and sleeves to allow you to use 18650's in it.

I have gone through many devices. Each one lasted until I understood their strengths and weakness and then eventually found something better. I went;

gas station/ Chinese e-cig (too weak and the battery would die too quickly)

eGo Vision Spinner (variable voltage let me take good hits, lasted longer, but not enough, and I kept dropping it or knocking it off of tables)

Innokin iTazte VV (despite the name it lets you also vary Wattage (VW) which gives you more control over the vape, bought two and they were great)

Innokin VTR (I started worrying about the lifespan of built in batteries and switched to a box mod holding one 18650, was fun like a walki-talkie, felt stuck using clearomizers with it

Innokin SVD (got rid of worries about battery life and could now plop any tank I wanted on to the top of it. Hellooooooooooooo Nautilus!

Sigelei 100 Watt box mod (now I could go into a higher Watts range, two batteries for potentially much longer life between charges, Helloooooooo Atlantis!

Sigelei Fuchai 200 Watt+ (This was pretty much it. I can't TC in SS on the thing but I wasn't into TC much anyway. Ni and Ti are available so it's not a big deal. Vaping beyond 200 Watts would be ridiculous to me so the mod still does what I want it to do)

All along I had been giving away old stuff as I got new stuff. The Innokin and Sigelei mods and the Aspire tanks proved to be the highest quality equipment of the bunch. There are people still out there vaping on 'my' hardware.

But now a few things are coming up again. CCT, CCW, Bypass mode, firmware upgrades, better chipsets overall, multiple batteries beyond two, larger batteries beyond 18650.

Could be time for a new mod. I'll just keep looking around and if something jumps out at me I'll grab it.

I had a few high end setups, but i felt like i could never find the right settings for everything. i always ended up with dry hits, too hot, not enough vapor. Tried multiple tanks, multiple power supplies. So now im on an all in one smok pen 22 on .3 coils. works pretty good, but the damn batteries dont last.

I just looked it up. The Smok Vape Pen 22 has a 1600 mAh built in battery. So at full charge (4.2 Volts) on a 0.3 Ohm coil you are looking at 58.8 Watts drawing 14 Amps. Yeah, you are going to plow through that battery. Do you still like the vape when the battery gets low?

no not really. I am looking for something else to grab with a longer battery life that wont cost a fortune. I don't know much about this stuff so im kind of going in blind. I am looking at a few on directvapor I don't know what I am looking for though. XD
