This so much.

Norton has been fully 100000000% bloat for years and years. Even back when I was actually working on desktop workstations for a living.

Welcome to 2004. :-)

There has been a hell of a lot of money made off of fear of viruses.

If you're going free shit use Iobit uninstaller and or Revo uninstaller. Revo is really good at finding the buried stuff. Overall I've been using Advanced System Care Pro for years. They have a free version also. Very good utility.

The built in Windows AV works good enough anymore. 3rd party AV just cause issues.

I would agree but too many false positives, especially if you were to download a free version of something :-)

Yeah.. Windows Defender is great. Haven't used anything else in years. Cept McAffee when a computer was new.

I have to uninstall this piece of shit on every customer's computer I run across it installed on.

And some of them fight me on it :-)

What I really love is when their local IT guy does that. I'm like "OK fine, the program which their entire practice is based on will now run like shit and crash all the time, have fun with that."

You just gotta pay attention when you're downloading free shit. Something is always trying to piggyback in there with it. Make sure you check that box that says "No Thank You" Guys and Girls. :-)

You're talking about Norton AV right? I'm not even sure I'd want anything to do with Norton's VPN which their trying to sell every where in the media now. :-)
