Fort Worth police: man arrested for wanting to emulate the Odessa shooting tried to buy guns, but was foiled by background checks

The use of the word "Loophole" is important because it's so very inaccurate in describing actual existing gun law. It's only used because of the perceived negative connotations which don't actually apply at all. Background checks aren't easily enforced on private sales because it's actually impossible to implement. Even if it was ever proposed as law.
