He isn't. He's talking nationally. But that video also shows that he really didn't want to make a prediction, IMO.

That's concerning. Right now world wide there is almost 700k cases so he is saying America alone will have millions? I don't trust China's numbers but I am not so sure about that.

If influenza kills 60k a year with a vaccine available , having a disease with higher CFR (lets say 0.6)and no vaccine 150-200k death is not that bold of a prediction. Social distancing should help reduce that but a second wave if it happen could get us back on track.

I would imagine that he's probably aiming a little high as to not give people the impression that this should be taken lightly. I would also imagine that he's talking about a year or so to get to those numbers.

In general medical professionals don’t like making predictions and tend to use vague terminology ( try this, suspicious for, likely etc..)when possible because they are living in a world of educated guesses.

With it being desperate times and all, we’re gonna a have to fast track a vaccine.

Get it to phase 3, start massive production and start giving it to young healthy people. Yes I realize “do you want I am legend? Cause that’s how you get I am legend” but desperate times calls for desperate measures

I know times seem dark, but there’s some great things being done with science and tech on this

Between the production of antibodies and different meds, we just need to buy them some time

Here’s one I came across yesterday. Hamas any knowledge about this particular drug?

Interesting that obesity is a risk factor. I noticed in the video from inside that Italian hospital that the overwhelming majority where really big dudes.
