Nzoner's Game Room>2019 Free agency Thread
O.city 03:24 PM 02-05-2019
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

Looks like he's either headed to Buffalo or Ft. Lauderdale.

So Bills or Dolphins, if this actually means anything at all. Could just be headed to Florida to chill.

Buffalo makes a ton of sense on all levels.

I can't see Flores being interested in Dee Ford.

Not to mention that the Dolphins seem to be in tank mode for next season.

If he was what they were looking for, I could see there being interest even during a tank year. But a one trick pony for a guy that learned to value versatility a lot doesn't mesh.

Best player on OL? He had a great year in 2016 and that was it. Doesn't fit well with Cable's scheme.

Kelechi Osemele (BAL) was PFF’s 5th-best-graded guard in 2014.

2015: 11th best (BAL)
2016: 3rd best (OAK)
2017: 15th best (OAK)
2018: 63rd best (OAK)

Who does fit well in Cable’s scheme? His lines suck. Always.

Dude, Ward’s going to be awesome. He was a blanket in coverage last season. He should have been playing over Scandrick all season

40th. Would be nice compensation for Ford I’d say.

Sacks apparently mean shit. Ford had 14 but the rest of his is just that bad. Nobody is giving us what we want. Veach may just have to remove the tag and be done.

I would rather keep Ford on the tag if they can’t trade him for one simple reason. If you’re going to sign Collins or another big FA on defense, then you’re essentially nullifying the compensatory pick you’d land for Ford. Better to let him play on a one year deal, hopefully drive up his value, and then release him next year when you aren’t gearing up to add a big free agent.

It could be the difference between a third round pick and nothi gz

you're basically turning Ford into a 2nd round pick and a big name free agent
