Problem is if it does work out, you aren't gonna get any value from the next deal. [Reply]

Yea, player want a 1-year prove it deal or to wait for a better market. The team needs to ask for the 2nd year as their part for the prove-it contract. I imagine that's why it was only 5 million.
The Chiefs should sign Dennard too so they aren't forced to draft a CB they don't really like because their need is so great.

But it’s far less of a need now. Round 2/3 could be the sweet spot.
DE or S in round 1 seems most likely
There is no way DE or S are more a need than CB in the 1st round.
Fuller has one year left on his contract. Breeland is a one-year signing.
It is likely to be DE or CB.
When you have a good safety like Mathieu for possibly 2 or 3 years, you really don't need to draft one with a 1st round pick, especially having Watts and other safeties too. Yeah, S in the 1st round is not out of question but it is unlikely IMO. [Reply]

Why not Greedy Williams. I do think he will be gone by our pick but he is the best press man corner in the draft. Murphy is a zone CB. Baker shows potential but is still more raw than Murphy or Williams. [Reply]
