TMZ published the body cam footage in July and neither the team nor league gave a crap because there was no video of the actual assault.
Yes, because you speak for everybody, right? :-) The headline was a LIE.to gain clicks, so it doesn't matter what people are "angry" about. The damage is in the lie, not the reaction to it.

That's the literal definition of sensationalism, as has been pointed out to you in the thread already.

He speaks for a "reasonable" person which is the standard that the law usually adheres to.

If the law spoke to a "moronic" person, your opinion would clearly carry a lot of weight.

If the video was actually of some random lookalike of Kareem Hunt, but TMZ reported it as being Kareem Hunt, then you might actually have a case for defamation.

The rebuttal is obvious... TMZ didn't DEFORM :-):-):-) or Defame his character. He did that when he, and the people in his room, refused to give the women her phone and then carried it out into the hallway and the events unfold. The more we learn about Kareem, this was a ticking time bomb. Hopefully he now gets help...

And that lie CAN BE USED AS DEFORMATION OF CHARACTER, that's what you can't seem to fathom. "Senstionalism" when it pertains to trivial things is different than flat out lying and damaging someones ability to earn money. Please get a clue.

I'm still waiting for your evidence that she was "brutalized"? Or are you gonna be a COWARD and not back up your words? :-)

TMZ didn't lie though. He did in fact put hands on a woman in a violent manner. They could've used words or phrases like assaulted or beat up on, and it really wouldn't have mattered. Brutalized is just a sensationalized word to describe what happened, but it isn't a flat out lie.

Precisely. Defamation of Character implies communication of a false statement that harms the reputation of an individual. The video proves that this isn't false.

Therefore the only defamation of character that occurred was actually the result of Kareem Hunt himself. He slandered and defamed his own character because of his idiotic actions.

I can 1000% guarantee they won't be successfully sued for deformation of character. There is no such thing as DEFORMATION of character. :-)
