Are you mad that the media is talking about Covid-19?

I don't even know what your point is.

Why no outrage?
why do you keep trying to minimize the situation? There is no equivilancy with measles. It’s not apples to apples.

If a white man, even with Nazi beliefs walks into a church, shopping center and murders many people, most just accept that as life in 2020. Nothing changes. Yet, if that white person was instead a Muslim and a member of ISIS, holy hell and panic would be unleashed.

Same gun. Same number of people dead. One thing is different. Yes, this is a virus, not unlike others. But, it’s not the same is it?

You’re doing a great job of showing everyone exactly who you are. Well done.

I was just giving an illustration/example on how things are viewed differently with one different part. I think it was a great example. Nothing political about it at all. It’s just a fact. You can’t yell and ban me for partisan BS on simple facts. A violent act or murder is viewed differently if it’s a terroist. That’s a partisan take? GTFO.

Not mine:

Let's do some math.

There are 331 million people in the U.S. The best infectious disease modeling epidemiologists in the world predict that 20%--60% of the population will become infected.

Let's start low end and go with 20% infected. That puts us at 66,200,000 infected. Of that number, approximately 20% will need to be hospitalized. That's 13,240,000 who will need hospital beds. They won't ask get sick at the same time, but they will be in the hospital for 3--4 weeks. Per the American Hospital Association, we have ~950,000 hospital beds in the U. S. And they're 70%--90% full when it's not flu season. So, best case scenario, we have 300,000 hospital beds for 13 million people.

Out of the 20% that need to be hospitalized, 20% of them will need ICU care. That's 2,648,000 people. We have ~100,000 ICU beds and they're 90+% full.

Can a mod just merge all the coronavirus threads into one giant Coronavirus Mega-Trainwreck of Dumbassery and Dipshittery thread? There is literally no difference in any of them.

I honestly don't think it matters. Romper Room would probably be the most appropriate.

Jesus this thread went off the rails.

Pretty happy with Colorado’s response so far. It’s been here a while (people kept getting it at ski resorts here though no one was diagnosed) but we got our first drive thru clinic up and running in Denver today.

I've merged a couple into this one and I'm sure there will be more.... I do like the suggested name change for the thread.
