Man. I had high hopes for a Gal Gadot Wonder Woman franchise but I have to say I am not liking the comparison to...Trolls World Tour? Holy fuck. Yikes. [Reply]
@PattyJenks literally made an 80s movie in every way, making it so unique for today. It feels both bigger than the first WW while simultaneously more contained.
@ErikDavis: I’m so happy to report that #WW84 is an absolute blast from start to finish. An exceptional compliment to the first film, it’s stuffed w/ heart, hope, love, action, romance & humor. @PattyJenks, @GalGadot & team delivered one of DC's best sequels. I was in tears when it ended. https://twitter.com/ErikDavis/status...799107/photo/1
@GermainLussier: Yesterday I saw Wonder Woman 1984 at home & it was everything I needed & more. The movie is hugely ambitious, incredibly exciting, and full of much needed hope. It's also very long, to a fault at times, but mostly it reminded me how wonderful a big blockbuster can make you feel. https://twitter.com/GermainLussier/s...986560/photo/1 [Reply]

This lines up with the on set report that I gave on December 9, 2019:

Apparently, she hired a bunch of friends instead of true professionals on set and that it was a disaster of epic proportions. There was constant infighting and power struggles and again, from what I was told, the story doesn't work nearly as well as the original. Now, hopefully, they put together a good film in the edit bay, which happens more frequently than not but after all of the detail that was share with me, I'm not expecting much.
Let's hope I'm wrong because Wonder Woman has pretty much been DC's lone saving grace as of late (the Joker not included).
