Washington DC and The Holy Land>Bernie as the new Favorite deserves his own thread

Bernie Sanders called Trump’s killing of Soleimani an assassination and then suggested the alternative would be to “sit down and work out our differences through debate and discussion at the UN” pic.twitter.com/8ErFEJ7Es2

The positions the old fellow takes are unique. Should have strong appeal to those who oppose war and our efforts in the middle east

Liberals are are at a crossroads as they consciously turn away from Clinton-era castoff Democrats (Biden, Warren, etc.); they'd never even possibly entertain conservative (R) policies, especially under Trump (OMG, he's literally Hitler!) so the only path remaining is the dirty, pothole laden trail towards radical leftism... leading to socialism and eventually outright communism. Which fails at a rate exceedingly faster than democracies-- whom generally die like a whale, slowly rolling over before going belly up. Communism fails fast and hard, and is inexorably linked to starvation, economic ruin, and mass murder on an industrial scale.

But the masterful manipulation of the disenfranchised to believe they aren't in control of their own destiny, that they can never truly achieve ("You didn't build that!"--Obama; "It's physically impossible to pull yourself up by the bootstraps!" --AOC) because the system is rigged towards the rich (white) guy on Wall Street! You poor suckers just take it in the ass! Bernie will set us free! Eat the Rich! Gulags for anyone who disagrees! C'mon, join the victimhood march towards cultural suicide! White people are a blight and ruined the earth!

The irony is staggering.

But I digress...what did so and so wear to the Oscars? What does my Twitter feed tell me to think today?

This is an accurate post. But with the level of discourse we enjoy these days, nobody should surprised that liberals and RINOs are looking for the most radical candidate they can find.

The moderate vote was well over 50% last night, even if that coalition was split. Unfortunately the left wing can smell the blood, and realize a Trump opponent is their best shot at taking the White House. I pray that the clingers drop out, and then moderates can coalesce behind either Klob or Butt.

For the left, you're correct. Lord knows Bernie is a freaking lunatic. President Trump may be anything but PC, but Bernie is a literal nutbag.

Neither Klob nor Butt is a moderate.

Yeah, it's a very relative term. Compared to what? Bernie and Warren? I say BFD. Not my idea of moderate. She is still for BIG govt and expanding it, just not as much as Bernie and Warren. But-edge-edge isn't either but he's being touted as that too. I say it's all Newspeak to lead Americans further left, but just more gradually.

You have been going back and forth with me over several different threads, but asked to substantiate on a laughable claim you pretend that I'm not worth your time. Do you not see how transparent you are?

If you see Butt or Klob as moderates, then you are NO libertarian.

I would sincerely like to know what that label even stands for to you. No, it's not about being merely fiscally conservative and socially liberal, that's just on the surface. Scratch a number of them, and underneath is a left progressive.

Which Democratic nominees were moderates in this cycle? Now contrast their policies from Pete and Amy and tell me where they differ.

I wouldn't describe eking out a razor-thin victory is gaining momentum and it's not likely to hold in the South either. It looks like he may not even get enough delegates on the first round even if he continues like he did in NH.
