Washington DC and The Holy Land>Bernie as the new Favorite deserves his own thread

Bernie Sanders called Trump’s killing of Soleimani an assassination and then suggested the alternative would be to “sit down and work out our differences through debate and discussion at the UN” pic.twitter.com/8ErFEJ7Es2

The positions the old fellow takes are unique. Should have strong appeal to those who oppose war and our efforts in the middle east

Of course it does. He came across as authoritarian when he was campaigning. He couldn't help it, he's a douchebag. The good thing is, though, that I raised them to be smart enough to reject the actual authoritarian bullshit that the Dems have been peddling.

What do they come up with? Crazy comrade Bernie and Gay Pete.

Incredible.

Well...yeah. Even with her troublesome stance on firearms she still tended to view the Bill Of Rights as a sacred birthright rather than a list of evils to be destroyed. That simply will not do.

Gabbard was their best shot and the DNC fucked that up.

I was razzing a coworker over Bernie being "their guy" last week. This guy is a life long Dem in his 50s a few years form retirement. He not a crazy batshit socialist though. He interrupted me to make it clear he will not vote for Bernie and lashed out at college students for supporting him just because they think he will wipe out their student loan debt. I just shut up and let him vent.

It was unexpected because hes never wavered in his support for the Dem candidate, even Hillary when we busted his balls over her a few years ago.

He's very liberal. Let's not split hairs on something so trivial

They all spend like drunken sailors, they all cut taxes without making enough cuts to spending, they all suck the D of the M.I.C.

They only speak out against him because they think that they're saving face for when they have cocktail parties. It was the same when they voted against him when it was McCain's last vote, or Romney not having anything to lose being a mormon in Utah. It's all a grift being run on the people and Trump's great at the short con and learning the long con

The only people over thirty that want him have serious issues. The only thing that could get me to vote for him is that he's not a liar, and he's stayed the consistent course of stances for all of these years. But I probably just sit home again after debating to vote for the libertarian like I have for several terms now. If Pete does get the nom, he should pick Bern as a running mate, but he probably chooses Warren. Bern would unite the party as the VP, and Pence would eat Warren alive in a debate costing them any shot at an election

Who is doing that? As a Democratic primary voter I have no tolerance for that sort of thing so if you could just give me names and examples I would greatly appreciate it!

Every presidential candidate comes across as authoritarian. They're running for a singularly powerful executive position.

You think your Bernie bro disingenuous questioning method works on actual free-thinking adults? Get that weak shit out of here.

Today, @BernieSanders walked back his promise to release his medical records "before the first votes are cast": "You can start releasing medical records, it never ends."
