I also like the theory that's been proposed that a suspension would make other players more vulnerable to extortion attempts. If they suspend a guy for being a victim, that gives criminals more leverage. All they would have to do is create a scene and it'll cost the player money and career stability. As I've noted all along, they were NEVER going to suspend him based on the current case. NEVER. The upcoming CBA negotiations would have been a complete disaster following a suspension without cause.
