I know he is, but at least he has a brain and can make valid points.

I haven't seen really any that stretch out to that 14 day mark or anything close. Last I talked to the infectious disease guy here that I know a little, he said they're thinking once you hit that 10 day mark with no symptoms you're ok, but can't confirm.
The 10 day mark is correct now. I was positive with symptoms out to day 7 but went 72 hours symptom free after that and was back to work on day 10. We do the same with our people testing asymptomatic positive. No symptoms by day 10, you're back at work.

Another re-infection case though this one hasn't been peer-reviewed like the first one. When the person was re-infected with a different mutation he ended up in the hospital with worse symptoms. This is interesting read.

The odds of this occurring are vanishingly remote and virtually assure that these are two 15 distinct viral infection events. Of course, if such a remarkable event of base change didoccur in that 16 timeframe, then the remarkable nature of cases A and B would shift from a case of possible reinfection 17 to a case of high-rate evolution within an infected individual.

A 25 yr old patient in Nevada has a confirmed case of #COVID19 reinfection (48 days apart between 1st and 2nd PCR).

This time, unlike the case in Hong Kong, the immune system did not protect this person from reinfection or disease. (1/n)https://t.co/9gMThBoMu2

That's obviously not the true number, (on either count), but I definitely don't think this is the norm. We'd be seeing it much more often.

Do you not agree that infections are alarming and death is a bad thing? /Donger

There was anecdotal evidence of reinfections a couple of months ago but people largely dismissed it. But it makes sense that reinfections will occur. We will probably just need to get a vaccine shot every year.

Here is the video of the doctor who had a patient die from possible "re-infection" and I posted about it at the time. This won't make BCD happy.

Dr David Thrasher Montgomery Critical Care had patient in June who got either reinfected or relapsed after 4 months & died. Maybe samples still available to sequence? https://t.co/MdLyx0zSEu

40,000 new cases and 1,000 deaths/day aren't exactly good. We are now below 6% nationally, which is getting better.
