The real "problem" will be if Mondesi comes back. It sounds like he's rehabbing at least. If he actually comes back there's going to be logjams all over the field, which is a pretty weird thing to say for a 100 loss team.
I think that just speaks to how truly awful this pen has been, particularly in the first half of the season.

2013 - $84 mil/21st/86-77
2014 - $98 mil/18th/89-73
2015 - $126 mil/13th/95-67
2016 - $141 mil/14th/81-81
2017 - $148 mil/13th/80-82
2018 - $130 mil/20th/58-104
2019 - $101 mil/23th/39-66

$130 million out of his pocket for 104 loss season. Why in the **** would you expect Glass to spend more money? Glass has been a good owner and gets a bad rap.
I agree he spends when necessary. But even at 130million he is still making a profit.

@codybtapp Ned said the plan is for Dozier to play a lot in RF

Flanny: Ned conceded that Whit Merrifield will play more 2B until Adalberto Mondesi returns, especially now that Ryan O'Hearn is back, which will push Cheslor Cuthbert to more time at 3B and Hunter Dozier more time in RF.

I can't wait to see what we get for Hamilton and/or Kennedy

Moore needs to nail the draft each and every year, because it seems pretty clear we're not going to be able to find much talent elsewhere. I'm not sure that's sustainable with how hit or miss draft picks are.

Since July 11th, the #Royals have lowered their roster’s age from 28.56 to 27.08 years.

Gore(28)-Starling(26)
Maldonado(32)-Viloria(22)
Peralta(30)- Staumont(25)
Flynn(29) - Lovelady(24)
Duda(33) - O’Hearn(26)
Diekman(32) - Zimmer(27)

Now the 4th youngest team in baseball.

Our MLB Pipeline scouting report on outfielder Dairon Blanco, one of the prospects the Royals got from Oakland for Jake Diekman, is that the former Cuban star certainly fits the Royals' profile: He is extremely fast and athletic, and is an 80-grade in terms of speed.

Not to be a jerk or anything but constantly trading for fast guys with no pop isn't a good strategy, remember Blake Perkins last year? Yes no one else does either.
