Earlier today lead prosecutor Brandon Van Grack withdrew his appearance in Flynn’s case. Van Grack was formerly on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team. His name is missing on today’s motion to dismiss Flynn’s charges, and instead was submited by D.C. U.S Attorney Timothy Shea. https://t.co/yr0qq6a6ik

#FLYNN Court Docs “The United States of America hereby moves to dismiss with prejudice the criminal information filed against Michael T Flynn pursuant to federal rule of criminal procedure 48(a)...” @CBSNews @ClareHymes22

#FLYNN “the government has concluded that the interview of Mr Flynn was untethered to, and unjustified by, the FBI counterintelligence investigation...government is not persuaded that the January 24 2017 interview was conducted with a legitimate investigative basis...” @CBSNews

US Atty Jeff Jensen who led the Flynn review: “Through the course of my review of General Flynn’s case, I concluded the proper and just course was to dismiss the case. I briefed Attorney General Barr on my findings, advised him on these conclusions, and he agreed.” @CBS_Herridge

In its motion to dismiss charges against Flynn, DOJ says it's not just that the FBI never had a legitimate legal reason to interview Flynn, but that there's not sufficient evidence that Flynn actually lied to the FBI during its illegal January 24, 2017 ambush interview of Flynn. pic.twitter.com/AvtUsXGcRL
