It wont get to that as we can still practice common sense social distancing and hygene but still resume most jobs. In the US this stoppage is costing us $2 trillion a month.....not counting the Stimulus that is borrowed....we are heading to dark times if this insanity doesnt stop now. Thankfully many are understanding this already and rumblings are happening and counties and states are beginning to open
When has expecting the general public to use common sense ever work out.

He's correct on that point, though. Our founders said as much. Perhaps you should educate yourself on that.

I didn't. I asked you a question.

If opening up again, as you say we should, ends up killing 600,000, would that be acceptable to you?

Cool. I'll have to dig in and play around with it a bit.

What do you think we should do? Please be specific.

It truly comes down to common sense right? Let the young and able go back to school and work, protect our elderly and those predisposed to illness, maintain hygiene and social distancing to a reasonable degree. If one feels ill or has a fever, then quarantine yourself for 14 days or until tested. Will it be absolutely perfect and flawless? Heck no but better than ruining lives and livelihoods by hiding under rocks and tanking a $22 trillion economic machine on purpose

So what's the difference when the percentage of people killed from Spanish Flu would infer an equivalent of 2,150,000+ C-19 fatalities?

But as I said before: percentages don't matter. The fact that just one person died because of C-19 when they otherwise would not have means your agenda is supported.

I don't understand your question. Would you please try again more coherently?

You obviously should read up a little more on the founders about this, too.

But I thought this wasn't supposed to be a political thread. WTF happened?

Question what do you do about overlap? What if grandparents are raising a kid, what if a grandparent lives in the same home a 7 year old does...

Now? I asked you a direct question in that post. So there's no change at all.

I don't think we'll get to 600,000 either. We've advanced medically since.

So, you'll be fine with 135,000 dead?
