2017 impact: The Raiders won 12 games but outscored their opponents by only 31 points, producing a Pythagorean expectation of 8.7 wins. That gap -- 3.3 wins -- is the fourth-largest since 1989. They're likely to decline.
People love to throw those D/ST's TD stats around, but fail to realize that it's also unlikely that our starting QB and RB combine for just 18 TD's again.
Our defense and ST's will continue to put us in a position to win games like they have been for the past 4 years. [Reply]

Albert Wilson up the middle of the Saints punt return formation isn't lucky, it was a well timed and strategic play.
Tyreek Hill isn't lucky. He's that ****ing good.
Sorensen pick 6 was due to TALENT by Eric Berry to deflect a pass in which an instinctive and smart player like Sorensen could capitalize.
Demetrius Harris recovered a fumble in the endzone, that may have been luck, but also it was blocked by DJ Alexander, a pro bowl special teamer. Once again, talent doing work.
Eric Berry had 2 TD's, plus another pick-2 to lead vs Atl. Since when is Eric Berry lucky? He's ****ing good.
The luck of having talent is never enough. One must also have the talent to create their own luck. [Reply]

That happens once every 10 years in the entire NFL.
Pure luck, which is why it didn't happen to this team in 2014 or 2015, and why it didn't keep happening to the Chiefs in 96, after the 95 team had a similar run of absurd luck.
The Chiefs were incredibly lucky. The Raiders were just a badass offense. [Reply]
Can't really say D/ST TDs are lucky. Too many other factors to account for. Still not sure how the Raiders teams were lucky though lol. They lit people up and yes, defense was a struggle but them overcoming their deficiencies isn't "lucky" it's part of the game. They were a well-balanced team. Big deal. Still rolled out 12 wins and would've been 13 had it not been for Carr getting hurt (oh so lucky, right?).

Are you that much of a homo to think that a 5 hour air flight from the west coast to the east coast has much effect when a team arrives on friday night?
Only losers complain about that sh*t
Here's something up yer bung hole
Raiders traveled to the East Coast and won like 3 games straight last year... [Reply]
Chiefs won in some very unconventional ways last year.
They had trouble scoring on offense. Def and ST almost accounted for the same # of points throughout the year. That's rarely heard of, esp on a team that goes 12-4. The Chiefs ST and defense made plays at very opportune times. Berry's 2 picks in ATL and the pick in CAR, Peters strip? the comeback vs SD.
These are things you can't necessarily count on, there are rarity, that's why they're such game changing plays and when you're the benefactor of one, you have a much better chance in winning. [Reply]

Your own fucking COACH bitched and cried about the travel schedule last year. [Reply]
