Nzoner's Game Room>Raiders were most fortunate/lucky team in 2016
TigeRRUppeRRcut 05:20 PM 07-21-2017
Per ESPN statisticians: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...-bill-barnwell

2017 impact: The Raiders won 12 games but outscored their opponents by only 31 points, producing a Pythagorean expectation of 8.7 wins. That gap -- 3.3 wins -- is the fourth-largest since 1989. They're likely to decline.

--

This makes a whole lot of sense if you watched the games. It seemed pretty suspect they were getting strange calls in their favor, especially in that game played in Mexico.

The Raiders will never win anything with JDR. The guy can't even manage to keep a close game vs Alex Smith.

Andy Reid has pulled his pants down every time they've faced off.

Marcus Peters loves OAKLAND. That's where he's from.

Why the fuck would he show any loyalty to the Las Vegas Raiders?

The guy was good enough to get to the postseason with Garrard and Leftwich.

For all we know he's just a Tony Dungy waiting for his Peyton Manning like half the league's coaches, and Carr is the guy who is going to make him look good.

Let's hope mahomes can get our fat man over the hump. Lots of pressure for a young QB with a coach that has mental gaffes of a toddler at times.

No, no they are not- The Raiders are young on offense with skilled explosive players from the OL to the WR's, RB's and most importantly the QB- the Chiefs offense is nowhere near that of the Raiders as far as youth and skill on offense, or talent for that matter- they are not even in the same atmosphere-

Raiders struggled defensively early on but the last half of the year they were ranked in the top 10- their defense gets overshadowed by the first 6 games-

Raiders secondary is young and full of pro bowl potential

S- Karl Joseph
S- Obi
CB- Gareon Conley

Mario Edwards Jr is back and stronger than ever- he's gonna be opposite Mack on that line.. Oaklands got a couple of holes to fill at linebacker but they'll get all that done in next years draft and have a full 11 guys, both young and talented

Chiefs don't have near the young pass rushers the Raiders have... Hell, you could argue Mack is better than the entire Chiefs defense by himself

You're going to be disappointed. Raiders are running on a crest of cheap rookie labor and expensive, over-paid FAs. They are like a crappy version of Seattle a few years back. As soon and Wilson, Sherman and Thomas's bill came due...they fell off. Their O-line went to shit....Carr sucks bad when pressured, it's why he looks like garbage against KC.

He was 17-41 for 117 yards, zero TDs and a 49.1 rating last time they played. This was with 1st place on the line. That's worse than any game by Smith for KC.

He has averaged 178 per game in the last 3 meeting and less than a TD. He isnt good against top defenses.

He has averaged 159 Yards against the Donks in the past two meetings.

Enjoy your $25 million dollar Vegas hype-boy.

He has averaged 168 yards in his past 5 games against KC and the Donks...his main AFCW competition.

NFL got their relocation and fleeced the Vegas tax-payers...it's been the media agenda-driven, greed-machine since the end of 2015.

What over-priced free agents are you mumbling about?

That's news to me and the entire NFL.. Here are the real facts and truth about Carr and being under pressure- And I don't fault you, because, like you, and most, this whole pressure rating all came from his days at Fresno.. but here's the real truth- I know it's incredibly frustrating for you to accept this but it is what it is-

In 2016- Derek Carr improved his Total Quarterback Rating (QBR) in those situations to 51.3, sixth best in the NFL. For context, the league average when under pressure was 30.6. - Let that be a lesson to you the next time you try and argue this baseless claim-

Oh, I will- you can only hope your two 1st rd pick Mahomes will even develop into just half of what Carr is in regards to a franchise QB-

Where I think you're confused is that for some reason, you and others on this board seem to think just because you traded two #1 picks for a QB that Mahomes somehow is gonna turn into this franchise QB.... Well, I can tell you- It don't work that way... In fact.. history has shown and the odds are not in the Chiefs favor.. Could Mahomes develop into the next Aaron Rodgers? Sure, but those odds are extremely thin....- Until the Chiefs have a franchise QB like Derek Carr, they will continue to be the only team in the AFC West to have never won a trophy named after their founder-

Good luck with Mahomes-

Im talking complete team. And no Mack isnt better than any entire defensive unit in the NFL.

Yeah the Raiders O is better than the Chiefs, only the biggest homers here wold argue against that. The Chiefs are better everywhere else D/ST/coaching, but again they are ahead of the Raiders in the rebuild process from when Any and Del Rio took over these teams. The Major thing the Raiders have over KC is a QB of the future. Mahomes could equal or better that but he hasnt taken a snap in the NFL yet so the jury still out on him.

The thing is it doesnt matter whos ahead of whom in regards to winning championships. The Chiefs have maxed out their capabilities with Smith at QB and the Raiders have yet to even win a playoff game, and I think their D is still going to suck and several games for them will come down to their offense having to steal a win in the closing moments. Except I dont see them being on the winning side of ALL of those games like they were last year.

That is everything- The QB position is the most important part of any NFL team- and anybody that knows anything about football will tell you the same- Some teams spend 20 years looking for a franchise QB... Browns, Chiefs, etc...

Raiders have that franchise QB, and pro bowlers all on that OL, along with young explosive players like Cooper, Richard etc...

There aint one player on the Chiefs offense anyone can honestly look at and say "That dude is pro bowl material"... Hill earned his stripes returning kicks as a gimmick player.. there's nothing to suggest he's gonna go on to have a Julio Jones type career as a pure WR- Tyrek Hill is basically a Devin Hester clone- he'll earn his name returning kicks but he'll be just as ineffective in the pass game as Hester was... Getting that 400-500 yards a season type numbers-.

The most unimpressive 12-4 team in NFL history.

Won't surprise me at all to see them go 0-6 in the division this year. Marshawn complaining and giving up halfway into the season would be a definite highlight...

A $12 million dollar LG in Osemele, A $9 million center in Hudson, a $9.5 million CB in S.SMith, $8.5 million WR in Crabtree, $8.5 Million CB in Amerson.

None of those bloated FA contracts would exist if Carr/Mack/Jackson/Cooper had already been paid...and the majority of those players wouldnt have even considered coming to Oakland if they hadn't backed up the Brinks truck.

Those days are over...your O-line was built off cheap rookie labor.

Denver wiped the floor with your team when Carr was out....with the AFCW title in play. They are not even close to a championship caliber roster.

So, like... the Maclin signing the Chiefs did? 5 years 55 million... paid the dude like 10 million a year and cut him 2 years later and had to move that 4.5 dead money into next year because they were strapped for cash? Ya mean like that garbage?

See here's the difference.. When Reggie signs a player- they produce-. When the Chiefs over pay a player they tend to suck...

By the way.. Tamba Hali.. dude's like 34.. he's already complaining..

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-the-playoffs/

Derrick Johnson will be 34 in Nov

Houston is always hurt

Poe went to Atlanta

Who do the Chiefs have on that front 7 defensively that anybody knows? That DL is old and devoid of talent like the Chiefs WR corps

You have the football acumen of an infant...

Maclin got cut because KC drafted the most productive WR (per play) in the NFL. Rookie Chris Jones was #3 on PPF in PRP behind Arron Donald and Geno Atkins.

Reggie really hit a home run on the S.Smith signing...he was benched. Amerson was the 60th ranked CB. Crabtree 35th. His 2013, first round (12th overall) CB Hayden ranked #99. Joseph, last years first round (14th overall) SS ranked 50th.

Your top players are all expensive FAs except Carr, Mack, Jackson and Cooper....that's all you have. Two of those were drafted in the top 5 overall. Reggie is a legend...
