No players were disciplined by Major League Baseball in the Astros' investigation. While Mets manager Carlos Beltran was part of it, he was a player at the time and thus was not suspended.
Discipline for Red Sox manager Alex Cora is coming. It is going to be harsh, per sources.

So apparently this all started with Altuve’s “niece’s” twitter account leaking the buzzer thing. Gary Sheffield is saying that it’s a burner account for a player who’s ratting other players out.
That twitter account claimed that Trout is on HGH and is using a rule to bypass the drug test. [Reply]

The Astros and Sox both should be stripped of their WS title. All players and managers involved should get a lifetime ban from the game and forefit the salary they earned the years they were cheating. The employees in the replay room should also be banned from MLB permanently.
This isn't a corked bat. It isn't an emery board that the pitcher tucked away. This is systematic cheating that was rampant throughout the entire organization by multiple players, managers, coaches, and staff. This is, IMO, on par with the 1919 Sox.
If it is found that the team owners knew this was going on... they should be forced to sell the team.

There were rumors about it on reddit from the very beginning. A user claimed they had a dream about the Stros cheating with buzzers a few days before anything broke at all. Months ago. I'm curious who it is. [Reply]

I thought this looked pretty incriminating too, but there are other pics of him throughout the night that pretty much show it to be gold confetti and a chain that he wears around his neck....now the Altuve thing. If you slow it down and read his lips, he is clearly saying "no, no, I'm wearing a ***something***" (hard to tell what the last word is)...then there is the weird crowd of like 3 players that wraps around him, basically obscuring him from view...THEN there is fan cell phone video that shows him taking his championship shirt directly to the dugout to put on rather than on the field like every other player in history that has won a championship shirt that puts it on while out on the field. Regardless, I've seen guys cover their heads as they run into a pile because people smack their helmet, but NEVER have I seen anyone hold their shirt together tight. Will be interesting to see if Manfred has the balls to strip them of the title. [Reply]

You're mixing a couple of things.
A) It's Beltran's 'nieces' account and the Beltran family is distancing themselves from it saying it has nothing to do with them or anyone in the family.
B) The Trout thing came from Scott Brosius's kid and dates back to Brosius as a base coach.
But then you have players like Pham and Bauer coming out and alluding to things they've known for awhile and tried to bring to MLB's attention w/ little success. The players are starting to turn on each other at this point.
And Yankees fans may want to slow play this one juuuuust a bit. Fellas, your shiny new toy came from Houston. You telling me he didn't know? You'd probably be better served to leave this at the leadership level because drawing players into it doesn't help your new guy much. [Reply]
