Bubba isn't the head of the executive branch. So not a very apt comparison, but it was wrong considering his wife was running for office.

And how has the DOJ ever been independent from the Chief Executive? Are you this retarded?

That's true. Why was it wrong though? He was a private citizen.

You really aren't aware of the history?

No, I wouldn't. I'd impeach him for yet another abuse of power, again, though.

It was not wrong on Bubba's part. He can make contact with anyone he wants to. If Lynch statement was true that they were on the tarmac at the same time and got together to discuss families and what not. It shows she is a personal friend of the Clinton's and should not at any point been involved in the decisions of the case. She should have recused herself at the outset. But she did not and even after it came to light pretended to recuse herself but did not actually.

Now Trump is in the chain of command but is not governed by the attorney ethics rules that Lynch and DOJ are governed by.

So you think Trump pardoning someone isn't an abuse of power, but Trump asking the DoJ which he is head of, to reduce a sentence (not that he did) is?

That's the kind of leap only a TDS sufferer like yourself could get to.

Why do you say that what Trump allegedly did is inappropriate?

Yes. As you probably know, POTUS is given that power by the Constitution.

Again, the DOJ has been tacitly and historically independent of the Executive Branch. You really want to set the precedent of POTUS interfering in cases. In this case, ordering a reduction of a sentence of one of his BFFs? Or, are you just okay with it when the POTUS happens to be a Republican?

So the Dems who are all about "fairness" are mad because the DOJ stepped in and said a person who lied to congress should not be jailed longer than rapists and in some cases murderes.

Keep that in mind
