So what gives?
You aren't far enough removed from them opening to really know if they're fine yet.

Scientists in Norway say closing schools wasn’t a good or balanced mitigation strategy, so they are course correcting.

“We didn't recommend it. What we thought should have been done was to introduce infection protection measures in schools.“https://t.co/wwMsapakkU

Well looks liek the kiddos can atleast go back to school in the fall.

I really worry what we ended up doing to kids over all this.

I mean Florida wasn’t even shut down very long. It was supposed to be a disaster.

Also, didn’t somebody say Georgia has been open for 2 weeks with little change?

So do you want to retract your statement on Texas cases going up immediately when they opened?

They're stuff has been going up as they are reopening which seems idiotic to me, that was my point. You'd think you'd want to see decrease before you opened things.

I am surrounded by 3 cities that have a higher infection rate than New York.

Things seem to be going okay.

Like what? It was only two months out of school. It's not like they missed the entire year.

I hope so man. My 6 year old missed his last 2 months of kindergarten. He did fine for a while, but the last couple weeks of this have been rough on him. He should pull thru.

My kids are very traumatized by sleeping until noon everyday and doing household chores while staring at their phones.

It's been so tough on them, matter of fact so tough that I'm jealous of their free time to play video games and do hobbies.

Kids are resilient. His dad sounds like he’s got his shit together and that’s far more important than school.

Ontario seems like a week or two behind your worst hits spots and they are reopening some and allowing travel to cottage country , we get a big jump in population in the summer up here I don't think we could handle a big jump in cases., we have managed to keep it positive cases pretty low so far , I would hate to go backwards at this point when it has been painful to get to here..

Same as during normal times. Some kids get fucked by the parent lottery.

So what would he have done during the summer?

Also, don't think your kid will be behind...remember that ALL kids had to go through this same thing.
