The Lounge>Alex Smith suffering serious complications.
Superturtle 09:52 AM 12-06-2018
[Bickel] Hearing from several different people over last few days that Alex Smith is having devastating complications from his broken leg surgery battling infection. Supposedly he's had multiple surgeries to try to combat infection. Chances of him playing again in real jeaopardy.

This fucking sucks.

He had a shot at a comeback if there were no complications.

Medicine has come a long way since 85 and Theismann.

Wow. According to ESPN, he's been in the hospital ever since it happened, which was over two weeks ago. I figured he'd be in a cast at home the next day.

You'd destroy their normal flora which can lead to a whole new can of worms for one.
So he might have worms?

I work in a related field and infections like this are no joke, he could die from complications like that. I hope all is well, wishing him and his family the best!

This is so sad. Five surgeries and severe infection from what I’ve read. Likely career ending and he may never walk on a healthy leg again. So if any of you sociopathic f*#kers on this forum who wished him ill will (and you know who you are) are still following this and other post injury threads, I wish you nothing but the worst.

You have a way with brutally blunt words, theres a real Brock streak in you sometimes

And you're right, Smith is finished... the wheels were what made him a viable QB
