Nzoner's Game Room>Deposed GM John Dorsey deserves massive amount of credit for Chiefs' success
Quesadilla Joe 12:37 PM 06-28-2017
From La Canfora...

He says that Hunt, and not Reid, was the driving force behind Dorsey getting fired. He reaffirmed Paylor's reporting that communication, contracts, and management style were some of the reasons why Dorsey was fired, but he also suggests that Dorsey wasn't "corporate enough" for Hunt.

Spoiler!

But yeah our cap is awful mess.
Keep in mind that we can cut DJ and Hali and save about $15M. Alex Smith can save $17M if we cut... or a big # if we restructure. It's not my favorite cap situation. Dorsey hasn't done a great job with cap management. But it's fixable.

Cutting Smith alone will put us under the cap.

He's also in charge of football operations, effectively making him the GM as well.

That organization is without question run with a corporate mentality, but there's no way in hell that the man who is the face of that organization presents himself in a corporate manner with his dress.

Hey dumbass Belichick is also the GM.

I guess you have missed the awe every one of the few times that Belichick is dressed decently instead of his slouchy messy normal attire.

He's known as "The Hoodie" for a reason.

Care to dispute?

Dorsey was fired because he wouldn't wear a tie? Sounds about right.

Yeah even with a few other replacements when we cut the players Dane mentioned we will easily have a very favorable net outcome in our cap situation.

I still can't believe Hunt fired Dorsey, but I'm excited to see who Hunt hires to replace him.

Hunt has went out twice and got the top guy available.

But they will still need to sign replacements.

It's not a Net Positive, by any means.
