Well, Rian Johnson is writing both scripts but the decision of which characters should and should not be included will ultimately be that of Kathy Kennedy and the other LucasFilm producers.

From my perspective, any references or inclusion of characters from TCW and Rebels will only enhance those properties.

I get that. I only watched TCW because of seeing TFA (due to the conjecture of Rey's mother being a certain royal character) and thus bought Rebels' Season 1 and the first half of 2 on Amazon (even though calling the latter a 'season' was deceptive) because they were quality shows regardless of the kid-minded direction.

But it seems to me the stigma of being a kid's show means that SW Universe content will flow only in the direction of features down to Rebels as well as other properties like novels. That would preclude big details of Rey's parentage from originating in TCW/Rebels/Novels unless those producing the feature films are also orchestrating the storylines of the other media.

Dave Filoni and Simon Kinberg are intimately involved in everything Star Wars related and they absolutely have a say in how the universe evolves.

Also, I don't consider either Rebels or TCW to be "kid shows", as they're packed with adult ideas and violence.

When the Grand Inquisitor lopped off the heads of two Imperial officers in the season 1 finale of Rebels, it freaked out my 7 year old. I thought it was a little over the top for an animated series but things have only become darker since.

If Vader does indeed kill Ahsoka or leaves her for dead, it's going to traumatize a lot of kids that followed her journey but based on the episode titles, it looks like her end is near.

When the whale ate that alien last week my son commented how awfully dark that was for a cartoon.

No idea who this Mike Zeroh is, but he sure likes pontificating on what Episode VIII is going to be. I made it about 6:45, and I'm not buying it so much. Not sure why, I'm just not. Too clunky, maybe.

So, is Luke standing over a grave on his castaway island?

If so, who is it? Wife?

I guess it could be possible that he went back to Endor to scoop up Anakin's ashes. Would explain how Kylo got a hold of Vader's helmet, but that doesn't feel right to me, particularly in that moment with Rey standing there.

Is that a gravesite? The pic is so blurry that I can't make it out.

If so, my guess would be wife or dead padawans that were killed by Kylo Ren.

The internet is out of control. YouTube is flooded with crazy theories about Episode VIII. I'm watching a vid on how Rey is Palpatine's granddaughter. It's almost like people are just throwing any crazy shit they can against the wall to see if anything even remotely acts like it wants to stick.

Since crazy is the order of the day, how about Rey being the daughter of Ezra and Sabine?

If you're interested, look at The Stupendous Wave's YouTube page. All kinds of theories come from that guy.
