The second round of Covid will be worth it since the protestors/rioters have stamped out racism now.

Mission Accomplished!!

This is due to the shutting down of elective procedures. The irony is all the steps our genius Governors took to protect hospitals ended up hurting them. I understand the need to shut things down hard at first but it drug out too long and now the very institutions that were to be protected are endangered.

Irony.....
Yeah this wasn't handled well at all but to be fair it was pretty unprecedented. If this ever happens again I think we will be much better prepared

Without revealing too much about myself, I did billing for a physician group out of highschool, and now work for a software company who does CDI/CDE.

Doesn’t make me an expert, but does help color my world view.

It just doesn’t scan for me man.

Dexamethasone isn't going to cut the death toll by 1/3, because a substantial portion of critically ill patients were getting dex in the ICU anyway. It is one of the most commonly administered medications in critical care.

This trial shows the importance that buying time gave the medical community. By not blowing through and trying for herd immunity enough time elapsed that you're finding effective treatments that can further reduce mortality.

Yeah, I saw an article the other day about Branson. They where hyping the fact that the number of cases doubled from what they were in March. But then later in the article it said it went from 12 daily to 24 daily. They made a huge deal about it doubling, but really, 12 to 24?

So you're saying their study is bunk?

The numbers game is a funny one to watch. Our local news station publishes the total case. number daily to try to draw attention to their site. Obviously the total accumulated cases is the biggest scariest number they can use.

Well the point is the people who made that decision are the same people still making the decisions. And they don't seem to be learning much from it nor care much about it to be honest.
