Baltimore is releasing veteran RB Mark Ingram on Tuesday, per league sources. The move will save the Ravens $5 million against the 2021 cap and allow Ingram to get an early jump on free agency.
Ingram is healthy and believes he has plenty to offer for 2021.
Everyone knows we’re like 20 mil over the cap right? We don’t have space to bring in big time FA and keep fucking doubting Darrell Williams. Told you at beginning of the season he was my adopt a Chief and he balled out. All of you can suck my cock except Clay and UChieefyBugger [Reply]

Help me understand how Darrell is your adopt a chief (Stupid Orange Mane tradition) and your u/n is Mahomo 4 life. [Reply]
Yeah we've already brought in Leveon Bell who we don't use so why not add Ingram to that roster too. We're not a Make a Wish for over the hill Running Backs who are close to the end of their playing lives. [Reply]

Agreed, but, he wasn’t worth the money, and further, the Ravens had faced this situation before when they won with Dilfer. They should have told him to go test the market and then when he sees that no one would pay him what he thinks he’s worth, then they could talk. Instead, by overpaying him, they had little funds to maintain their defense. This was their identity, they aged out and have now morphed into the running back that passes freak show. [Reply]

I'm pretty sure that the answer is no. But even if he could, I think that he would have to quarantine first, which would leave him out this week anyway. [Reply]

Any of the 4 teams remaining can sign him since he cleared waivers and he can play this weekend.
“ As previously explained, any player claimed on waivers now won’t officially join his new team until after the Super Bowl. If, however, the player passes through waivers unclaimed, he immediately becomes a free agent. A team could have claimed Ingram on waivers simply to keep him from, for example, the Bills. That happened in 2002, when Washington waived Deion Sanders from the reserve/retired list so that he could sign with the Raiders for the Super Bowl run. The Chargers claimed Sanders on waivers, a vindictive move by former Washington coach Marty Schottenheimer, whose hiring in Washington eventually prompted Sanders to retire.” [Reply]
