But sounded very confident he was going to be good for this week. Also said Mahomes was trying to go back into the game today.

Why dont they just announce he wasn't concussed? Why would he still be subject to concussion protocol? Not making sense.

i THINK the moment he was taken out of the game he has to go through th concussion protocol no matter what . .even if it is not in fact a concussion ..

because he was ruled to be in the concussion protocol based on how he acted on the field. The only way out of protocol is by clearing protocol is my understanding. If he didn't have a head injury, he will clear protocol

Yeah I guess even if the doc says later you know what, it's a nerve and not a head injury, since he was initially placed in the protocol he still has to progress through the five stages. But I would think they might be able to go public with the docs finding of not concussed. But I can also see the docs wanting to error on the side of caution and just play it through as though it were a concussion to play it safe and not have any suggestion of trying to avoid the rule.
