#NFL In general the worst way for a player to facilitate a trade is to go public w demand. Other teams know player is unhappy and lowball in trade offers. Puts current team up against the wall.

In an interview (before lockdown) Chris said that the franchise tag has 2 ways it plays out.

1) the team signs the player to a long term deal.

2) the team trades the player to a team that gives him a long term deal

He never even acknowledges playing on the tag as an option. His recent tweet re-enforces that stance.
