The last Willie Wonka mobie was horrible. Johnnie Depp, (while a decent actor) was not right for that part. I really feel as though Christopher Walken would have made a superior Willie Wonka...
Gene Wilder was awesome in the 1st one and I would never change that movie. It was a masterpiece. However, Christopher Walken would have earned the remake millions more in revenue, (IMO).
