About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.
I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...

I think the angles were different. The spear entered aimed for the heart/chest area through an angle. Bronn's scorpion spear was head on and went into the shoulder/wing. [Reply]

If warging into a bird/dragon counts as flying in the prophecy, then it seems likely that Bran has warged into a walking animal from time to time and that doesn't fit the prophecy. Not that consistency in this fantastic story is required or anything. [Reply]

I figure it had more to do with the nature of the spear itself (some evil enchanted ice shit versus regular old metal). [Reply]

I don't think it's as complicated as y'all are making it out to be - the dragon was breathing fire when it was hit and the spear punctured it in the neck/chest, breaking whatever seal must have existed between whatever fuels their fire and whatever ignites (and was currently igniting) the fuel.
