What an over-hyped disappointment. In Liberty (very few clouds) and it didn't get dark as night... not even close. Saw a few of the features just before totality which were cool, but it mainly felt like a cool dusk evening. [Reply]
It was pretty disappointing. 99.6 percent or so and it was basically twilight with a bit of a temperature drop. I really wouldn't have thought you would have to go to the actual small area of 100% to get the experience. [Reply]
Damn that was disappointing. Colander was cool. Eclipse shadows were cool. I really thought it would get darker than that though. Basically no different than if a cloud obscured the sun here. [Reply]

Clouds rolled in and completely obscured everything about 10 minutes before the peak.
Why does everyone care about seeing the moon in front of the sun? I just wanted to see how dark it would get during the day time. Pretty weak up in Omaha where I'm at today. Some of the automatic lights came on in parking lots. [Reply]

I heard you could strain your eyes using a colander. [Reply]
