What's the difference between asteroids, meteors and comets?
asteroids are basically failed building blocks of a planet most are between Mars and Jupiter though they can wander. Meteors are pieces of space junk hitting the atmosphere and burning up on the way to the ground. Comets are general big balls of dirty ice orbiting the sun. There are thought to be 1000s in the Oort Cloud (past Pluto.). They can make spectacular runs around the sun. [Reply]

It seems I should have sprung for a bit more expensive version and gone with the Hoya brand. I will definitely be doing that on the ND filter but those are only about $20. The more expensive circular polarizers are over $40.
On the circular polarizer should I be getting gray or black?
Does anyone have any thoughts on these circular polarizer questions? Do I need to just replace the cheap insignia one? [Reply]

Really hard to say, and it's situationally dependent. What I can do is give you link to a pretty decent site with a lot of ideas about those situations...
And to remind you not to go totally cheap. I don't pull my circular polarizer out enough, and it's not good. Around water and bright blue skies, it's da'bom.... [Reply]
