Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs Defense Without Charvarius Ward, Khalen Saunders, Alex Okafor Against Chargers
BigRedChief 01:12 PM 09-18-2020
All local media reporting it as officially official. Like most here, I dont think we need them to beat the Chargers but I'd sure like them back on the road against, IMHO, our toughest game all year.

Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and his defensive unit will have to make a few adjustments due to injuries before kickoff against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

The Chiefs announced cornerback Charvarius Ward, defensive tackle Khalen Saunders and defensive end Alex Okafor will sit out of the Week 2 matchup.

Mathieu will probably cover Keenan most of the time so it’s not that big of a deal in my mind.

Well, if we're going to be without those guys, this probably is as good a week for it as any. Probably get to see a lot more of Wharton and Gay without risking much in the process. Probably also see a full rotation of DBs from Spags as well. This might be as "preseason" a game as we'll see in 2020, at least on the defensive side of the ball.

Okafor has been a huge waste

He looked pretty dynamic rushing the passer prior to the strain Thursday. Hopefully he can get over it and stay on the field moving forward.

Okafor is a turd in the punch bowl at this point. Hope he still gets a chance to kneel for the Anthem with players holding onto him like some sort of prayer session. Id hate for an injury to cause him to miss out on attention whoring.

I don't think Mathieu can keep up with Keenan. I'm thinking Fenton covers Keenan. Whoever does will need help.

You don’t think Mathieu can keep up with Allen but you suggest Fenton should cover him?....

Hahaha, okay so just out of curiosity, why did you give me a thumb's down? Don't like the word "preseason"?

A bit? It'd have to be almost a full-on collapse for them to allow the hapless Chargers to score 19 points.

Keenan Allen on Sneed or Fenton? Or Honeybadger stepping in at CB?

Hamilton blows.
Sneed just needs to whisper Allen's Madden rating into his ear. Allen will be so furious he'll explode
