So once we get to the point where anyone can get the vaccine (young/healthy folk), how do we get it? Do we need to sign up somewhere?

I've been looking through my health provider (HMO so it's both insurance and care). For a while they had nothing up, but they now have a phone number to call and schedule a vaccination. They say not to call until your group hits the front of the line, though, so I've got a while.

So I'd recommend keeping tabs on your insurance company or doctor or something. Maybe the public health department as well?

If you're in Jackson County, you can complete this survey to get your place in line.

Do you remember how long it takes to develop some immunity to the virus after the first dose for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines?

I was thinking the data show a decline in the vaccination group around day 7-10? But I may be remembering incorrectly.

I believe I've read 7-10 days, but fact check that.

No excess penis growth side effect. Sadly.

Sounds a bit extreme. Coincedental gastroenteritis?

I'm in NYC and I qualify for the vaccine via New York's "Phase 1B" part of the plan.

I have my appointment next Tuesday in the afternoon, but it's incredible how many of my coworkers are saying "oh, you're actually getting it?".

After seeing a family member die from COVID and several of my friends get it and struggle with it, you damn right I'm getting the vaccine.

7-10 days I believe.

I'm about 6 days out, feel fine. I did develop super powers similar to Captain America though.

Not surprising. The longer things go the more people will be willing to get sticked.

I think showing people getting it and such has or will help. I also think being straightforward with people about the vaccine and the side effects are helpful. Don't try to hide it, but explain what they are and the likelihood and such.

Basically what we should have been doing with Covid this whole time as well.
