Sources: In the wake of last night’s loss, the #Texans are releasing veteran CB Aaron Colvin, just over a year into a 4-year, $34M contract. He gets his $7.5M for 2019, which was guaranteed.

Colvin was pretty awful on Monday; it's probably a sunk cost anyway.
But dayum - that's a steep hit right there. I wonder if his salary was already guaranteed or if that's a 'vested veteran salary guarantees if on the roster for week 1' thing.
If it's the latter, O'Brien really fucked up by not getting out of that deal before the season started. [Reply]
They're going to have fun when they have the highest paid LT In the league that is about the 17th best player at the position, a shit ton of dead money and no draft picks. [Reply]

I actually think Tunsil can be a top 5 LT - he's really talented.
But I don't think it matters - Watson gets himself hit. Nobody ever wants to hold him accountable for how difficult he makes things for his OL. They just keep blaming the line.
