It's odd to not care about cases, since you have to get infected to die from it.
Well it’s kind of hard to care about cases when I know multiple people who were told they tested positive when they didn’t even take the test.

Well according to your logic since he is Hispanic this is to be expected...

Probably longer with hindsight. Got cases down lower and kept bars and such closed would be my guess.

Florida is in a tough spot with vacationers and such. Not sure what the answer is there.

I don’t disagree with you, but that last part sums up my take perfectly.

Arizona looks to be past it's peak looking at hospitalizations. Cases too but as dirk brought up might be a bottle neck there.

Florida and Texas may very well be past the peaks as well, but now some other states are firing up. MO not looking good either.

If this is our peak, then I’m good with their decisions.

Still only 6 deaths in the Florida Keys, one of which I know for a fact was a “died with COVID” as opposed to a “died from COVID”.

As a whole the state could be peaking. Other areas may go up as large metro areas go down.

Seems to be whats happening in Texas with Houston and Dallas looking like they're cooling down while rural areas fire up.

Cases may have peaked but daily deaths are still rising. Same with Texas.

That's nice.

Anyway, New York was seeing 10,000 cases/day just like Florida is right now, and then saw deaths reach over 1,000/day soon thereafter. I hope based on what we've learned so far that won't happen to Florida. I'm sure on that we agree.

38/day in Florida on July 1.

118/day in Florida on July 22.

Seven day rolling average.

I highly doubt that happens here considering our Governor isn’t sending COVID positive patients into nursing homes and we’re treating the virus better than we were then.
