Nzoner's Game Room>Anyone here doing the E-Cig / Vape thing?
pr_capone 03:05 AM 11-17-2013
Thanks to my vape, I've had only one single cigarette in the past 3 weeks. I have zero cravings for them and I feel considerably better. In fact, I still have about 5 smokes left in a pack and just can't see myself smoking those... don't want to.

Even better... 5ml of juice, which costs $5, lasts me about 2 weeks meaning that I am spending less in the long run. I only smoked, at most, a pack a week... but still.

I tried the Blu E-Cigs but they were terrible. Trying to "smoke" out of one of those was like trying to take a hit off a joint that was rolled WAY to tight.

I'm using an eGo-V v2 mega battery with variable voltage control with a gravity tank.

I love seeing some adamant capers on the forum.
I have been messing with e-cigs for about five years now. Up until recently I had been using the actual cigarette style and they never replaced smoking. I went back to it because I am dating an ex-smoker. I started in earnest again with a Noble Vapors starter kit. They were all right but I still had cravings and still smoked. The Vision Spinner (variable voltage) got me off of smokes and I used the Noble as back-up. I grabbed an iTaste VV 3.0 (VV and VW) and it relegated my Spinner to a back-up. When I dropped my Spinner a million times I broke it, grabbed another iTaste.

I did go ahead and grab an SVD because I figure that the VV's are going to die on me eventually. I'd rather replace five dollar batteries than $35 machines. But, man, the VV is really nice. Just like a cig in an old fashioned cig holder.

I just spent a touch over $50 on an order from these guys. Hoping for good flavor and thanks for the link.

I just picked up the eGo C Twist with a Unitank. Having trouble making the switch though. Missing drawing in the smoke, having a cigarette in my hand, etc. Vaping just doesn't give me the satisfaction yet. Any advice? Do you hit it hard, like smoking a full cig, when the craving hits? I really want to stop but totally lack the strength to do so.

TIA

Crank it up to full voltage with a high nicotine fluid in it. Slowly draw in as much vapor as you can into your mouth, then breathe it in harshly. There is a good chance you will cough and sputter. You kind of have to play with how you breathe it in and find a flavor that works well for you. I started with tobacco flavor.

Thanks dude. I do cough though I am familiar with vaporizing 'tobacco' with no problems. Currently using an 18mg juice (Tooty Fruity, or some shit.) Flavor is not the issue, though maybe a menthol flavor might fill a bit of the gap.

I just can't move on from having an actual smoke in my hand and smoke in my lungs. I mean, the vape certainly satisfies the nic craving. It's the 'action' of smoking that isn't working. Sigh.

Thanks again.

I found the Innokin iTaste VV 3.0 with an iClear 16 tank on it to mimic smoking best for me. I know what you mean. It's rough, keep trying.

Also you can go a lot higher than that with the nic%. I have seen fluids as high as 36mgs.

Yeah the ITaste VV 3.0 with the Iclear 30s was my first mod. So I kinda started on 2nd base or where ever youd put the VV 3.0. Im not sure if egos and pin sized vapes would work for me. When I try the store model egos, evods, etc for trying juices the taste is ok, but the hits are weak ,no throat hit.

Also how does your SVD hit compared to the ITaste VV 3.0? Truthfully the 3.0 is a very good bang for your buck. I vape with it 80% of the time I vape minus the evenings when I switch over to my 18650 battery mods which do hit harder. Id kinda like to have that experience at work to but the Itaste VV 3.0 does its job well.

I want to get the SVD. if you can say it hits hard I think im in because the Nautilus tank is no joke. Its far superior to any other tank setup Ive had and I think Id like to pair it with the SVD for my daily vape. SO whats your review for the SVD?

I can set the SVD up to 15 watts, compared to the VV 3.0 max of 11, so it will hit harder. I think with the airflow on your Nautilus you will be more than happy with it. The only thing I miss is the feel in my hand because the VV 3.0 feels so much more like a cig. You will have to get used to the size and shape.

The iClear looks like that would help mimic a smoke better. Smaller capacity but not a big deal.

I have a 24mg bottle of juice too. I'll make the bump. And buy myself a bag of Tootsie Pops.

Appreciate your insight.

Thanks. And your right, I like the feel of the VV 3.0 over my larger mods also, especially when out and about.

My stainless steel tank for the nautilus came in today, so its work ready, but feels out of place on the VV 3.0. I wish they made a smaller tank that performed just as well. So I guess if Im going with this tank full time Id better get comfortable carrying a bigger mod around everywhere. The tank now weighs more then the mod itself. The SVR would fix this and would match it as well. Should be a durable set up.

That should look really nice on an SVD.

Most juices are pre-steeped and will still have a bit of flavor as soon as you crack open the bottle. I was really trying to be nice about the flavor, which TBH there isn't any. I did leave the cap off and steep for a couple days and went back to it. Still no flavor. 2 week steep, no flavor. No biggie, I sure it happens from time to time with every juice maker.

Still loving my VTR. But I already have my eyes on a ZNA DNA 30 mod that I love the look of. I couldn't imagine what 8.3v and 30w would do. Must. Hold. Off.

Is it this one? Because the review makes it look annoying as all hell to use:
