Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs targeted, but by who?
Hog's Gone Fishin 05:40 AM 12-01-2018
5 weeks left in the season and then playoffs. The release of the video was a deliberate conspiracy to sabatoge the Chiefs season knowing this would be an automatic 6 game exemption. With the underhanded things the Patriots have been caught doing in the past, it would make a person wonder.

Indeed... :-)

"Americans love a winner". And they're not going to support some expansion team with NFL-level dollars unless that team shows some legitimate life.

Now, the acquisition of additional funds to grow the brand may have been in practice back in the 60's and 70's, possibly the 80's too, but they've LONG since moved away from that. Thanks to successful branding and licensing, it's hardly necessary for the owners to slum in Vegas.
That said, there IS a new influx of online, legal gaming these days, and I'd be VERY interested to see a rundown on how many games have covered the spread over the last say 10 years, vs. those that have not.

2) Not on an ongoing basis, anyway. You can't turn the 0-14 Buccs of yesteryear in to a Super Bowl dynasty in the course of one off season, it doesn't work like that. You CAN however take the "hot hands" in the league and collectively decide that it's better for the league overall to have stars and winners in prime time games than the Herm-led KC Chiefs who didn't SNIFF a Monday night for YEARS.( Oh wait! that's EXACTLY how they do that shit! )
The point is, you have to bring something to the table to begin with, and that's why we HAVE the cap and this "parity" of sorts that allows the 0-14 Buccs and the shitty Herm-Chiefs to get things turned around, and have an opportunity to duke it out with the Krafts on Monday night.
So to your point, Jerruh has to bring a winning, marketable product to the table before he can get any serious consideration from the other owners in regards to who is going to be marketed, and who will be filling in the gaps.

3) I've already detailed the referee program and just how VERY easy it would be to keep them quiet because you're not corrupting the ENTIRE goddamned staff, so I'm not going over that again.

The only true variable in this league is talent. Talent in the coaching sector, talent in the player sector, and the uneven balance of FAR more untalented folks that talented ones.
The NFL has never been more popular as a brand, dummy. They are the largest single entertainment property in the US. Leaguewide revenue has grown more than 47% since 2012. It's just flat out retarded to think they need to cheat.

An individual team turnaround is dependent on many many factors. None of which are NFL favoritism. The Cowboys are more profitable than both LA teams combined. It's the most marketable team in the NFL. They haven't won shit for decades. You talk about big picture, but your goofy theory completely falls apart in the big picture.

And again, a collection of 32 billionaire owners is never going risk their fortunes cheating the system using a bunch of part time refs that make 1% of what the owners do. That would simply never ever happen. It's common sense.

Dude, you need to follow the bouncing ball... This part of the discussion is not about the Chargers being picked for any Super Bowl, this discussion is about a team that has gotten more than its fair share of favorable game altering calls / non calls. And that team this year is the Los Angeles Chargers. And he called it before the season. (As he did the 2016 Raiders) If you're going to dispute that, you're just not watching football. Even their own fans are saying as much...He also produced quotes from their Message Board as examples.... Could it be that you're so intent on calling people pieces of shit for their opinions, that you may need to clean the shit out of the inside your ears, so that you may be more receptive to objectivity?

Is the NFL on the same level as Coca Cola and McDonald's worldwide? No?

Which...

This is...

Good day sir.

I'll go ahead and dispute that. The Chargers have the 10th most penalties this season. Plus they've had the 8th fewest penalties called against their opponents. That puts them well into the negatives for penalties in both count(-14) and yardage(-170). Again, reality simply doesn't match what you're claiming.

Could it be you're so wrapped up in your own confirmation bias to not realize the things you're saying are easily disputed?

There are a LOT of folks who have built the very existence of their hobby lives around this league and around football in general. The thought that there could be no possibility whatsoever of their favorite team winning anything of significance, even in the light of scoring a QB like Mahomes, is EXTREMELY disheartening and will cause a reaction based in anger.
The thought that the Chiefs and Mahomes winning it all based on anything OTHER than skill and talent is ALSO equally disheartening, so you can't convince most hardcore fans on a message board that anything foul might be afoot; they just don't want to hear it.

Personally, if it's all just a more intricate WWF match, then I have NO problem at all with them elevating Mahomes to the highest levels and using him and KC to sell, sell, SELL this league to the New Guinea bushmen in an effort to earn a few more shekels for the league coffers! DYNASTY! :-)

Personally I like scoresandodds or vegasinsider.

Now,if it's not too much work for you(I agree it's much easier sitting behind a keyboard and telling someone their delusional and full of shit) write down the spreads/lines of the games and the projected totals. Then watch the games unfold, listen to some of the commentators and the now former referees who are there to explain to us what they saw, watch highlights, etc and then compare to the Vegas odds.

While it doesn't happen in every game I can guarantee you out of all the games there will be some BS call somewhere that tilts a game toward a Vegas cover and away from the greater percentage of the betting public.

NFL gambling is a multi-billion dollar industry so to think there is no corruption anywhere is laughable.I'd venture to say most of you who think the game is all peaches and cream have never been to a Vegas sports book on an NFL Sunday and watched the money pour in and the emotion of thousands of bettors all with eyes glued to the games. You think the NFL doesn't see that and the excitement it creates for their product?Hell I've been there numerous times and even likened it to a WWE rabid crowd. The emotional roller coaster is unbelievable.

Lastly to answer the question "why do you watch?"

Entertainment my friends.
