Nzoner's Game Room>2019 Free agency Thread
O.city 03:24 PM 02-05-2019
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

Now that would be a great fit. Worth the #63? Too much?

I’m not sure on Cobb. I’d need to watch his All-22.

Seems like he hasn’t produced well in a long time.

I’d send them a 5th or 6th for him.

@AdamSchefter: Former Jaguars’ WR Donte Moncrief reached agreement on a two-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steeelrs, per source.

What do we expect Chris Jones to get on his new deal? Fletcher Cox's average salary of $17m was 11% of the 2016 salary cap. Aaron Donald's average salary of $22.5m was 12.7% of the 2018 salary cap.

Maybe $18-20m per year for Jones? $18m would be about 9.5% of the 2019 salary cap. $20m would be 10.5% of the current cap. That's still lower than Cox's 11% at the time he signed.

I won’t be surprised by $20M+.

It doesn’t help when guys like CJ Mosley are getting $17M.

Jones would be a excellent leader on this defense.

If Jones replicates his 2018 season as a 3tech (he absolutely should) then you have to pay him as the top guy at his position.

Have we shown any interest in Zach Brown?

He's fast, can pursue. Please go get this guy asap

Negative. Our linebacking core is pretty much set. Need a CB and some pass rushers

Surely not.

If true, that's easily the worst trio in the league.
