Tonight’s an old favorite, fried tilapia breaded in corn meal and flour

With a simple can of baked beans and sliced onion... and of course real Sriracha applied liberally on the fish

But tomorrow’s the real project, shepherds pie

Fresh beef, best beef stock I could find, frozen peas, fresh carrot, onion, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, garlic, and fresh mashed taters topped with cheddar and a dusting of paprika

Making enough to last several days... hearty work lunches, easy nuke after work weekday dinners, a breakfast or two etc

Comfort food on steroids

Leftover Thanksgiving turkey, stuffing, and mashed taters rolled into egg rolls and fried. Gravy for dipping sauce.

The crockpot has been crapping out, looking forward to playing with the new toy.
Enjoy! If you've never had a pressure cooker, there is nothing a crock pot can do that a pressure cooker can't do better and faster.

The dessert was runny, but it was good if you can handle runny...

We do a "CornCake" deal that's AWESOME! We mix one box of yellow cake mix with three boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix, then mix-in all the liquids all four boxes call for. We spray an aluminum 13x9 pan with Pam, put the batter into the pan, then bake at 350 for ~45-50 minutes. When done, we melt the better part of a whole stick of butter on top.

Clearly it's sinful, but you'll have some happy folks asking exactly how you clogged their veins....

For the Faider game yesterday. Instapot pork chili verde. Basically pork and onions in instapot with a green tomatillo sause. Also made venison carne asada tacos. No pics. It was fantastic though.

Thanks! Kept the first meal pretty simple, sauteed and then pressure cooked pork tenderloin, and it was quite delicious. As I figured, it was very tender and juicy.

Not a big time saver this time (and I assume I could have skipped the saute part if it was a time crunch), but I know it will save a lot of time for frozen food.
