We really missed him against the 49ers. Dirty Dan is fantastic in small bursts, but can get exposed when asked to do too much. The 49ers seemed to make an effort to target him whenever they could and it hurt.

I love Dirty Dan on this team however he isn’t a true safety. He is best suited as a Safety/LB hybrid. Even when Thornhill was playing, Dorty Dan got about 80% of the defensive snaps still [Reply]

Yup. Dan's not a good "safety." He's ok as a coverage backer, if, as you said, he's not used too much. Fuller and Fenton saved our collective asses in terms of depth. [Reply]
Expectation is for #Cheifs S Juan Thornhill to be ready for the start of the season. When he gets going during training camp is still TBD. I’m told his ACL injury actually turned out to be in better shape than expected when the surgery actually happened. Good news.
