Joe is a good dude and I always enjoy his opinions. Very knowledgeable about the Chiefs and he has been tasked with talking Chiefs fans off the ledge here, good stuff.
"... don't try to do too much and just get the ball in the hands of your playmakers ..."
Curiously, that's exactly what Mahomes has been saying since before he was drafted. Joe is a relatively cool guy, but he didn't mention the injuries, or the sudden demise of our special teams, or the penalties, or anything else that specifically addresses any of our actual core issues. Yes, Wally is the kind of coach that can keep a team from falling apart, but other than that, I found his comments pretty generic in nature.
Thanks for posting, Mr. Stargazer, but he actually made me feel worse.
Actually met Joe at a business conference in Chicago about a hundred years ago. Okay, it was about 23 years ago. He's a lot bigger than you think. Pretty cool guy. [Reply]

SUPER DUPER HYPER TRONIC BLAST BIONIC BURN BABY! [Reply]
In a nutshell, he said run the football more, really make an effort to establish the run. Play fundamentally sound football in all three phases, offense, defense and ST. Do all of that and we'll take a lot of pressure off of Mahomes. He thinks that right now Mahomes is being asked to do too much. [Reply]
