Awesome! I will watch!

Historic moment for college football 👏

Vanderbilt is turning to women's soccer player Sarah Fuller to be its place-kicker on Saturday.

She will become the first woman to participate in a Power 5 football game. (via @VandyFootball) pic.twitter.com/kIeMh4uRjZ

You know it, there's no way they're not going to make this the #1 story in all of sport this year. Not to mention how they'll remind people how she kicked it out of the end zone.

The Cleveland Browns have a female TIGHT ENDS coach this week.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a female that looks more like a male either.

I don't know what "Power 5" is these days, but Katie Hnida not only suited up for a Division 1-A team in 2003 (University of New Mexico), but she actually scored two extra points. That seems more impressive to me. Why is this kickoff considered a big deal after that?

Timing, and because nobody remembers the other.

Since there still seems to be some confusion today, let me set this straight:

I started my college career at the University of Colorado in 1999. We were members of the Big 12. I dressed out for our home games & our bowl game against Boston College. I did not play in a game (1/)

I transferred to the University of New Mexico in 2002.

That year I attempted an extra point in our bowl game against UCLA, a member of PAC-10 Conference

In 2003, I kicked 2 PATs in our home opener against Texas State. @UNMLoboFB plays in the Mountain West Conference (/2)

Liz Heaston was the first in 1997 at Willamette (NAIA)
Ashley Martin came next in 2001 at Jacksonville State (FCS/D1AA)
I came in 2003 at @UNMLoboFB (FBS/D1)
April Goss in 2015 at Kent St (FBS/D1)
Sarah Fuller at Vanderbilt yesterday!

Also, more at D2/3 schools- I'm looking!

There’s this girl who would make a great coach. Sarah something... bring her in for a look?

Heh. No. His record speaks for itself. He likely knew his days were numbered and that’s why he wasn’t afraid to start her.

Maybe the most pathetic kickoff in SEC history.

I guess his stunt of putting a girl in the game couldn’t save him. That was his Hail Mary, which failed, like most of them do.

Meh.

Let's see her make 6 XPs in the NFL, which is the number of XPs that Butker has missed.

Just see how many supportive posts she got for a mediocre version of a pooch kick that Butker made against the Bucs, versus how much hate an actual (man) kicker gets when it actually matters.

And suck my dick if she makes even a 30-yard FG, let alone a 53 and 2 from 58.

Funny thing, all the posters here simping for her statistically have a better chance of getting with Butker than her.
