.@patriots v @chiefs in OT; where the #patriots exploit the poor coverage of the #Chiefs converting on 3 third & 10’s. Poor defense all year long cost the #chiefs kingdom. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/74cj9o1WgZ

More "achievements" in defensive futility:

This guy gets it.... The first stat just kills me.

Games before a QB had his 3rd lost comeback (go-ahead drive, team lost game)
Patrick Mahomes - 19
Drew Brees - 26
Aaron Rodgers - 37
Peyton Manning - 92
Ben Roethlisberger - 121
Tom Brady - 211

— Scott Kacsmar (@FO_ScottKacsmar) January 21, 2019

Mahomes was pressured over 40% of the time in both playoff games, scoring 31 in each.

Only other QB to have a playoff game like that since 2009 was Brett Favre (51.9% pressure vs. 2009 DAL; won 34-3).

Patriots pressured Rivers over 45% last week too. Both sides kept it up Sun

Record when team scores at least 40 points:

Tom Brady 40-0
Peyton Manning 32-0
Steve Young 19-0
Jim Kelly 15-0
Philip Rivers 15-0
Joe Montana 14-0
Brett Favre 14-0
Roger Staubach 11-0
John Elway 9-0
Drew Brees 37-1
Aaron Rodgers 17-1

COMBINED 204-2

Patrick Mahomes 2-2

The 2-2 stat after scoring 40 or more points is puke worthy. And the Rams loss he put up 51. The Chiefs are going to Marino this kid with this defense.

Almost 50 years of no SB appearances and WE'RE spoiled? :-)

You're optimism is a bit over the top as it rests almost exclusively on one player who's organization has him protected by a less-than-elite O-line. And it's the same organization that let Berry's drama play-out in soap opera fashion instead of dealing with it more directly.

Sutton’s D doesn’t work any more. Rex Ryan took a really good D in Buffalo and absolutely turned it into garbage after implementing this scheme. Very few D schemes work any more with the new rules but this Ryan / Sutton D is perhaps the worst. You have to be able to at least create a little confusion which this D cannot. When Sutton is fired / retires it will be years too late.

This.

And you Mahomes nuthuggers need to get off his dick already. Just lin you all told me w Smitty (and I admit I was wrong in a lot of ways w him) teams win games not individual players.

How many SBs has Marino won?????

Our HOF "top 5" coach kept Bob Sutton around and let the Berry saga play-out like it did, but we'll learn from it. We may not do a fucking thing about it (and have the booth commentators tell us BEFORE THE PLAY HAPPENS what's going to happen) because, well, we're the nice organization. It's a Hunt family staple.

Ah, so, "next year"... At least that's how New England fans feel during those rare years their team doesn't play in the SB...

So I guess we're back to 5-year plans?

Andy can’t fire Sutton. Would reflect terribly on the organization because we all know Sutton should have been fired at the latest after the Ten loss last year but we did not. So Sutton is going to have to “retire”.

If Andy Reid can't admit he's wrong, then he needs to leave. Your ego should never be a driving force in coaching decisions.

Bob's defense is old and done
We need the 4-3 and real LB's. We don't have any LB's that are good. Houston is good but not great. The rest are total shit.

It started years ago, when Hunt and Andy decided to stick with their boy Mongoloid-Sutton...
