Sutton’s D doesn’t work any more. Rex Ryan took a really good D in Buffalo and absolutely turned it into garbage after implementing this scheme. Very few D schemes work any more with the new rules but this Ryan / Sutton D is perhaps the worst. You have to be able to at least create a little confusion which this D cannot. When Sutton is fired / retires it will be years too late.

Our HOF "top 5" coach kept Bob Sutton around and let the Berry saga play-out like it did, but we'll learn from it.
