Robertson, Barnett, Jontay, Puryear and Geist were fantastic. And down 58-50, Cuonzo switched to a zone and it changed the game. Great coaching. Clutch shooting. Calmed down and didn't turn it over really after that point either. Just a great win. And now we get a chance for another one vs UCF or WV Sunday night... [Reply]
This is a really underrated win fornyou guys. St. Johns is a good team they beat us by like 20. UCF is an interesting matchup they got a legit 7'6 center. [Reply]

It was semi-impressive. They blew a 16pt lead....that cannot be overlooked... [Reply]

Take it from me, man. For as young as you guys are, that's going to be part of the process sometimes.
The fact that these 18-19 year olds didn't throw in the towel this month after MPJ went down speaks a lot about the potential of this team, imo. [Reply]
Sunday night will give us a true indication of where this team is at. Gonna be tough to break Huggins press with these young players. Hope we can put up a fight. [Reply]

It's not complaining. It's pointing out the obvious. A good team doesn't blow a 16 pt lead and if you blow a 16pt lead against a decent team you probably won't win. [Reply]

Teams blow leads. It's basketball.
Warriors and Cavs were blowing all types of leads late last year. This Mizzou team is young and it's early in the year. I admire the resolve of Mizzou to comeback after being out scored by 24. A Kim Anderson team would have simply folded [Reply]

Actually you see it a lot, especially in pre-season. A team gets a big lead then starts experimenting. Lineups. Rotations. Backups.
All part of the reason KU looks in trouble early every year but is fine by tourney.
Not troubled by blowing 16 pt lead.
Troubled that bleeding continued to 8 pt deficit.
Reassured by lack of panic & still winning by solid margin.
