I stole a sweet laptop today

So I was in Paradise Cafe today for lunch and it was jam packed. There was this guy that was sitting in a booth all by his lonesome and had a sweet lookin laptop. The dude gets a call on his cell phone and decides to take the call outside. I was perplexed because he just left his laptop all by itself. So, its now been 15 minutes and the guy is STILL outside on the phone!

I thought to myself that I really needed a new laptop and this one was there for the taking. Well, there were no cameras in there and it was so busy that no one would notice so I went up to it casually and folded it up and exited the opposite door from him. Like taking candy from a baby. :-)

And I dont feel too bad because the guy didnt have any business or work related stuff on there, just a couple of photo albums. Hey, if he is too stupid to leave his laptop alone for more than 15 minutes then he deserved it.

This has been covered somewhere on here...but

A. what a doushe bag...who steals shit
B. Who does it in public? You know someone saw it happen.
C. Who posts about it on a message board?

All the above, may be the reason why I voted to ban him. He's a criminal, I'm not supposed to associate with them.

but in this case, I've tried other things, and I just don't have the patience/talent for anything else.

How long have you been trying to become a police officer? Is it pretty tough to become one...Denverchief?

I can't speak for DC, but last time took about six months from start to offer. Testings, background, etc. can take awhile, but it can also depend on the department, location and need.

St. louis area is pretty tight, at least in the "higher desired" areas. I could probably get on North county area pretty quick, but I've already served in third world countries, so....... Pass.

Oh, to answer your question, since the beginning of this year.

Does getting a job at a smaller town take longer or shorter? Have any idea?

I'm going to school to get an associates in Police Science and will be looking for a officer job in probably two years. What goes on that makes it take so long to get done?

Nice. This thread went from the downfall of society to joining law enforcement.
